Farming practices are costly to maintain in time, energy, resources and space, and can be hazardous. Therefore, I have chosen to create an agricultural gown that protects the user from the dangers of climate change and traditional agriculture by providing them with a way to cultivate their own food supply safely and conveniently. The glass dome skirt provides a portable greenhouse environment for the plants, the exterior tubing provides light and a recycled water system, and the solar panels provide sustainable power. This wearable piece could be especially prevalent in large cities, where fresh agriculture and greenery may be sparse, so the gown provides easy access to produce that is safe from harmful chemicals and emissions, and reduces their impact from traditional farming methods.
